The American Society Of Military Insignia Collectors

If you are interested in U.S. military insignia you should join the American Society of Military Insignia Collectors ("ASMIC"). ASMIC was founded in 1937 and is the Nation's preeminent organization of military insignia collectors. ASMIC publishes THE TRADING POST, a full-color quarterly journal that contains articles on all aspects of U.S. military insignia. The vast majority of the back issues of THE TRADING POST have been digitized and are available on the ASMIC website. The issues are searchable using key words.

In addition, ASMIC publishes catalogs that document Army unit patches and distinctive insignia, and other reference material; and a newsletter that publishes ads from members seeking to sell, buy, and trade insignia and reference material. Finally, ASMIC has a reference library that contains almost 1,000 items that members can borrow.

ASMIC holds an annual convention at varying locations throughout the United States, and some local ASMIC groups also hold regular local meetings.
